Congregational Support Plan

The Congregational Support Plan (CSP) assists congregations carry out their mission and ministry by paying the clergy compensation. It is funded by two sources: (1) contributions from the congregations in the Plan, and (2) the assessment budget of the diocese. The CSP uses the financial and human resources of the Diocese of New York to give local congregations a hand up, and to help them develop into vital churches.

Policy for the plan is made by the Congregational Support Plan Committee in consultation with the Bishops. The CSP Committee periodically reviews every congregation to determine whether the program is working and whether the congregation has the correct level of clergy presence.  The coordinator of the plan serves as staff for the committee. You may email him by clicking here.
