The Committee to Elect a Bishop annoounced its candidates for Bishop Suffragan this morning. For full details, please click here.



At the Diocesan Convention held at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in November 2012, the then Bishop Coadjutor of New York, the Rt. Rev. Andrew M.L. Dietsche, in anticipation of his February 2, 2013 installation as the Diocesan Bishop on the retirement of Bishop Mark S. Sisk, asked Bishop Sisk to call for the election of a suffragan bishop in 2013. Bishop Sisk did this, and the Convention approved the necessary resolution to set the process in motion. The date for the election convention was set for Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.
