Clergy Compensation and Benefits under the Congregational Support Plan
The Congregational Support Plan (CSP) follows the diocesan guidelines for clergy compensation and benefits. as updated every three years. The CSP pays the clergy stipend, cash housing allowance (if there is no church-provided housing available), FICA offset, pension premiums, medical and dental premiums (including spouse/partner and family coverage, as needed), income replacement premiums (for short-term disability), and a continuing education allowance. The CSP also pays the minimum recommended fee for supply clergy for 5 Sundays annually and moving expenses for new clergy. The diocese does not pay clergy travel or rectory-related expenses.
