United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Clergy Field Trip

March 16, 2018

Registration deadline: March 12

Leaving and returning on the same day, by bus.

Arriving at the USHMM around noon.  After lunch we’ll have time to tour the permanent exhibition, then reconvene at 3:00 in one of the classrooms – or if our numbers warrant it, in the small auditorium, with Victoria Barnett, PhD,  director of the Museum’s Programs on Ethics, Religion, and the Holocaust.  She thinks it might be helpful if she talks first a little about the general history of the churches with regard to the period from 1933-45 and some of the main themes that emerge for Christians from this history, and then takes questions or has a discussion about areas of particular interest to us.
This field trip is offered primarily for clergy; however spouses, partners and one or two parish leaders will be welcome to join us.  We will reserve spaces on the bus – which holds 56 people — on a first come, first served basis.
Bus boarding times and locations have not yet been set, but will be sent to those who register well in advance of the day.

Online registration is now closed.

To see if a place on the bus is available, contact the Rev. Susan Auchincloss at the “Organizer” email address below.
