Get Off Fossil Fuels and Invest in Your Church Property: An Introduction to Renewable Energy Financing Options
Wed, November 13, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
A lunch meeting to discuss financing options for congregations interested in getting off of fossil fuels, co-sponsored by St. Bartholomew’s, White Plains, in partnership with Westchester United, White Plains Religious Leaders, and the Creation Care Committee of the Diocese of New York.
The keynote presenter, Bloc Power, is interested in working with churches and not-for-profits to develop a strong network that can encourage the political leaders to incentivize non-fossil-fuel energy while also employing workers from areas where little work is available. St. Bartholomew’s is in the process of using Bloc Power’s help to get off fossil fuel while also investing in their property. Come see if this model might work for you, and share what other experience you have had or options you are exploring.
Lunch will be provided. For more information and tor register, contact the Rev. Dr. Gawain de Leeuw at the phone number listed below (under “Organizer”).
